Answers to your questions about Micro Needling, Acupuncture, Herbs and more!
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates your body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production, which improves the skin’s texture, reduces fine lines, scars, and enhances overall radiance. Learn More

Yes, microneedling is safe when performed by a trained professional. It is a non-surgical procedure with minimal downtime, and the micro-channels created are very small, promoting quick healing. Sterile, disposable needles are used for each session to ensure safety and hygiene.
A topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild and tolerable, similar to light sandpaper moving across the skin. The intensity can be adjusted to suit your comfort level.
The number of treatments varies depending on your skin concerns and goals. For general skin rejuvenation, 4-6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart are typically recommended. For deeper concerns like acne scars and hair growth, more sessions may be required.
You may experience redness, mild swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation immediately after the treatment, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours. You may also notice some dryness and peeling as your skin regenerates. Results improve gradually over the weeks following your treatment.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Bring a wide-brim hat and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 days post-treatment.
Keep Your Face Clean: Avoid touching your face, hugging others, and keep pets away to prevent bacteria from entering the micro-channels.
Change Your Sheets: Fresh, clean bedding, especially pillowcases, is essential for your first night’s sleep after microneedling.
Avoid Makeup: Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment to allow your skin to breathe and heal.
Hydrate and Moisturize: Use gentle, hydrating products recommended by your practitioner to support the healing process.
Yes, microneedling can be combined with other treatments like chemical peels, serums, or light therapies for enhanced results, as long as there is time in between. Microneedling should not be combined with botox or fillers due to the fact that they will not last as long as you want them to. Microneedling helps detoxify the skin and will flush the filler and botox out of your system faster. Consult with your practitioner to develop a personalized treatment plan that best suits your needs.
Microneedling is not recommended for individuals with active acne, skin infections, open wounds, or those who are pregnant. People with certain medical conditions or those taking blood-thinning medications should consult their healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.
